VeeCut
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 28 October 2026
This policy explains how the VeeCut Android app and the website at veecut.asjin.in handle information.
1. Who we are
VeeCut is provided by ASJIN, the developer that publishes VeeCut on Google Play. Privacy questions: business@asjin.in.
2. In short
- VeeCut processes your videos on your device.
- VeeCut offers an ad-supported option or a subscription for ₹300 per month.
- In the ad-supported option, ads appear during video processing. Saving videos requires watching ads or an active subscription.
- Your videos are not automatically uploaded to us. Advertising and subscription services may process information separately from your media.
- You choose where clips are saved, and you stay in control of them.
3. Data the app handles on your device
- Media you select: the video you split and any image you use as a watermark, plus their filenames and media details (such as duration, resolution and format).
- Your settings: clip duration, watermark text, font, position, opacity and part-number choices.
- Processing state: temporary clips and job progress stored in VeeCut's private app storage.
- References to saved results: so the Results screen can show what you've saved.
- Local diagnostics: the app may keep technical messages on your device to handle errors. These may include filenames. They are not sent to us by the app.
The media and processing information described in this section is used locally to split, watermark and save your clips. Your selected videos and watermark images are not uploaded to us for processing.
4. How processing works
VeeCut uses Android's native media engine on your device. Splitting without a watermark copies the encoded streams. Adding a watermark decodes, overlays and re-encodes the video locally.
5. Permissions and file access
- Picking media: you choose videos and images through Android's system photo picker or file picker. VeeCut only gets access to the items you select.
- Saving to Files: when you pick a folder or document location, Android grants VeeCut access to that location only.
- Saving to Gallery: VeeCut saves its own new videos to the Gallery without needing broad access to your existing media.
- Notifications (optional): used to show processing progress. You can turn this off in Android settings.
6. Storage and retention
- Temporary clips stay in private app storage until you save or discard them, until an interrupted job is cleaned up, or until app data is cleared.
- References to selected files and access grants can stay on your device until replaced or until app data is removed.
- Clips you save to Gallery or Files are separate from your original and stay under your control. Uninstalling VeeCut or clearing its data does not delete exported videos.
- VeeCut does not overwrite or delete your source video.
7. Third parties
- Advertising services: the ad-supported option displays ads during processing and requires watching ads to save videos. Advertising providers may process device or advertising identifiers, IP address, ad interactions and diagnostic information to deliver ads, measure performance and prevent fraud, subject to their policies and applicable consent requirements. Video processing remains on your device.
- Subscriptions and payments: the subscription costs ₹300 per month. The payment service handles payment information under its own policy; purchase and subscription status may be used to confirm access to saving videos.
- Google Play handles installs and, if you choose to open the optional feedback link, ratings and reviews under Google's privacy policy. Purchases made through Google Play are also subject to its payment and subscription policies.
- File and cloud providers (for example a cloud drive shown in the file picker) may use their own networks when you pick or save files through them, under their own policies.
Your videos are not uploaded to us for processing. Advertising and payment services may receive the information needed to provide their services as described above.
8. Your choices
- Cancel processing at any time.
- Discard clips you don't want to save.
- Manage or delete exported clips in Gallery or Files.
- Change permissions in Android settings.
- Clear VeeCut's data or uninstall the app to remove local app data.
- Use a subscription instead of the ad-supported option, and manage or cancel it through the service where you purchased it.
- Manage advertising privacy choices through available consent controls and your device settings.
There is no VeeCut account, so there's no account to delete.
9. This website
The website is separate from the app. It has no analytics, no tracking cookies, no forms and no sign-up. Like most websites, our hosting provider may process standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and requested pages to deliver and secure the site. The site is hosted on Lovable, whose infrastructure may keep these logs for a limited time under its own policies.
10. Security
Because media is processed on your device and kept in Android's private app storage or locations you choose, exposure is limited. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your device updated and protected.
11. Children
VeeCut is a general-audience app and is not directed at children. Advertising and payment services may process information as described above. If you believe a child's personal information has been provided to us, contact us so we can review and address it.
12. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above. Significant changes, such as any new data collection, will be explained here before they apply.
